What I bring – and where it has proven itself.

For CTOs, architects and everyone who wants the detail: what I master in practice and where it has proven itself in production.

Education · MSc Software Development, UAS Technikum Wien · iSAQB Certified Professional for Software Architecture

  1. 01

    Safety-Critical Systems Architecture

Solution architecture under the CENELEC framework (EN 50126/50128/50129): RAMS requirements, standards-compliant evidence, separation of safety-relevant and non-safety-relevant system parts in rail operations.

    Reference & practice

ÖBB Infrastructure (ongoing): target architecture for modernising the train dispatcher workstation; digitalisation and automation of train routing; alignment between operations, business units, IT and external suppliers.

  2. 02

    Legacy Coexistence & Mainframe Integration

Integration patterns between cloud-native services and business-critical IBM AS/400 systems; step-by-step replacement of legacy components without interrupting operations.

    Reference & practice

LKW Walter: steering the coexistence of AS/400 and a microservice landscape (700+ services). ÖBB ticket shop: replacing legacy systems in the sales channel, including terminal-server provisioning for counter clients.

  3. 03

Software Intelligence & AI Agent Architecture

Semantic knowledge graph of software landscapes (applications, services, infrastructure, teams); retrieval-augmented pipelines (pgvector, Claude API); multi-agent design for automated architecture and impact analysis.

    Reference & practice

Archilence: platform architecture, agent design and engineering infrastructure; in production it cuts change-impact analyses from 3–4 weeks to 30 minutes. Haley: multi-agent assistant in production with long-term memory and asynchronous task processing (BullMQ).

  4. 04

    Enterprise Architecture & Architecture Governance

Architecture documentation and modelling with arc42 and ArchiMate; architecture decision records; establishing architecture standards across an organisation.

    Reference & practice

ÖBB Infrastructure: introduced arc42 and ArchiMate as the standard. LKW Walter: company-wide governance for event-driven architecture. iSAQB CPSA-F (2025).

  5. 05

    Event-Driven Architecture at Scale

Kafka as the central event backbone for cross-service communication and data flows; decoupling, consistency and ordering strategies in large distributed landscapes.

    Reference & practice

LKW Walter: introduction and governance of EDA across 700+ services in one of the largest transport organisations in Europe.

  6. 06

Federated Identity & Regulated Inter-Organisational Integration

SSO federation across organisational boundaries, integration of central identity providers; test and integration concepts across several delivery partners in regulated environments.

    Reference & practice

Accenture / federal government: test concept and test environments for the ELGA rollout (Austrian electronic health record), including SSO federation between ministries (BMF, BMG). ÖBB, LKW Walter: IdP integration for customer and dispatcher portals.

  7. 07

    High-Volume Transaction & Payment Systems

Architecture of transaction-critical sales channels; integration of payment service providers; connection to existing Java back-end services.

    Reference & practice

ÖBB ticket shop: re-implementation at around 3 million ticket sales per month, two PSP integrations.

  8. 08

0-to-1 Product Architecture & Technical Leadership

Building a SaaS platform from scratch; microservice boundaries, API design, integration of external platform APIs; leading developer teams.

    Reference & practice

tubics (CTO, 6 years): microservice architecture with up to 14 services, deep integration with YouTube and Google APIs, leading up to 6 developers.

  9. 09

    Cloud-Native & Hybrid Infrastructure

Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), CI/CD; operations across public cloud and on-premises environments.

    Reference & practice

GCP (LKW Walter, tubics), AWS, Hetzner Cloud (Archilence, production), Scaleway, DigitalOcean; on-premises deployments in federal government IT.

  10. 10

    Full-Stack Engineering

TypeScript/Node.js, Java/Java EE, Python; Angular, React/Next.js, SvelteKit; PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, MSSQL.

    Reference & practice

Hands-on at every station, from Accenture (Java EE) to Archilence (TypeScript, PostgreSQL/pgvector).
